1. Information we collect

When you book a rental through Armadillo Crates, we collect:

• Contact information: your name, email address, and phone number.
• Delivery information: your current and new ZIP codes, delivery date, and pickup date.
• Payment information: your credit or debit card details, billing address, and transaction amount. Card numbers are never stored on or transmitted through our servers; they are handled directly by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.
• Promo codes: if you enter one, we record which code was used and the discount applied.

2. How we use your information

We use the data we collect only to:

• Process your order and deliver your crates.
• Send you a confirmation email and delivery updates.
• Charge your card for the rental fee and, if authorized by our Rental Rules, for lost or damaged crates after your rental ends.
• Respond to your questions, cancellations, or rescheduling requests.
• Detect and prevent duplicate or fraudulent bookings.

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in at checkout. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services as part of our operations:

• Stripe (privacy policy) — processes all payments and stores your card on file for damage/loss charges as described in our Rental Rules. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.
• Resend (privacy policy) — delivers our confirmation and notification emails.
• Google Analytics (privacy policy) — provides anonymous site traffic data. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

4. Data retention

We retain your order information (name, contact details, dates, ZIP codes, and transaction records) indefinitely for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes. Card numbers are retained by Stripe according to their policies and PCI requirements, not by us.

If you would like your contact information removed from our records, email us and we will delete it, subject to any legal retention obligations.

5. Cookies

Our site uses a session cookie to manage the booking form and payment flow. Google Analytics also sets cookies for anonymous traffic measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still function.

6. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request that we correct or delete your personal data.
• Withdraw consent for us to retain your card on file (this will prevent us from processing future damage charges).
